Buy April, June, November
Why three times a year? Well it depends on what you are looking for, says Max Payne, director of marketing for Henry’s Cameras, with stores in Ontario and Manitoba. Most new models hit stores in March and April, so if you’re an early adopter and are looking for the newest technology at a good price, that would be your best bet. However, June is also a great month to purchase a new camera, when sales are on to coincide with people wanting to capture their vacation and wedding moments. Finally, check the price on that camera you were looking at in April again in November, when prices drop in time for the holidays, says Payne. “That’s when thrifty, value-conscious consumers will get the best bang for their buck.”
