Cosco Pronto, $60

Rating: 7/10

Tested by Marla Calder, mom of Gavin, 6, and Aselin, 4, Nackawic, N.B.

Weight and Height Limit: From 40–100 lbs and 43–57″

Booster Weight: 8 lbs

Size: 27″ H x 16″ W x 17.8″ D

Converts To Backless: Yes

UAS: No

Features: Eight height positions and an easily removable, washable seat pad. Includes hide-away cup holder.

Pros: “Gavin liked it as a backless booster, and found it comfortable that way. The cup holders are great for the kids to store snacks and toys in.”

Cons: “The kids thought the back was too hard and Gavin found it challenging to fasten the seatbelt with the back on. With the tall back on it, it didn’t fit snugly in my model of car.”
