Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat, $39

RIGHT FOR Children from six months to 20 kg
FEATURES With a snap-on lid, the feeding tray stays clean, and can be easily tossed in the dishwasher. You can effortlessly attach it to any chair, and the three height adjustments allow for any table height. It’s adjustability, harness and removable back make it a good fit from baby to toddler and even beyond.
REVIEWERS Kelly S. and two-year-old Ella
THE VERDICT “Ella has been using it since she was 1 1/2 years old and my 11-month-old now uses it, too. The plastic takes only seconds to wipe and it’s immediately crumb-free – there are no seams or crevices for food to get stuck in. At such a great price, I’d recommend replacing your high chair with this. The only flaw: the lime-green colour.”

SAFE SITTING
Booster-seat design isn’t regulated in Canada, so you have to play safety cop. To help you do that, here are three tips from the Infant and Toddler Safety Association based in Kitchener, Ont.

1. Always follow the manufacturer’s directions for installation, use, maintenance and weight limits.
2. Keep the booster seat – and flailing limbs – away from appliances, cords and anything the child could push off from (that includes those tempting table legs).
3. Beware of bacteria: follow the cleaning instructions and if a chip or crack appears in the tray, get rid
