We know you love bento box lunches, but it’s not always easy to whip up little rice ball chicks every day. That’s why we’re all over these simple sandwiches by bento expert Susan Yuen.

Susan blogs about her creative bento lunches over at Hawai`i’s Bento Box Cookbook, Fun Lunches for Kids. Her Ferb PJB Sammies (inspired by the cartoon characters Phineas and Ferb) are made with good old peanut butter and jelly, but you could substitute sunflower or soy butter if your school is peanut-free.

To find out how to make this lunch, check out Susan’s blog, or one of her two bento lunch cookbooks. Susan also posts about bento gear and terrific lunch box tips on her site.
