When the foul days of winter hit, birds need a little help from non-feathered friends to boost their diet and ensure their survival. These seed-laced snacks are so simple that every member of your flock can make them, even kids around the age of three (with a hand from Mom or Dad).
The materials
- Pinecones
- Ribbon
- Honey
- High-energy bird food
The How To
Tightly loop and tie ribbon close to tops of pinecones. Paint on honey to cover; dredge in bird food. Hang, being sure to secure a few out of the reach of squirrels.
