1 Grocery shop without the kids, and be rigorous in limiting the amount of unhealthy foods that make it into the cart…that’s right, no more blaming the kids for those three bags of cookies! Remember proximity is opportunity and you will eat what you can get your hands on.

2 Start your morning with a fruit smoothie instead of coffee. It’s a quick and easy way to get you set up for the day and it will save you money on your daily pricey coffee. Alternate between fresh summer and winter fruits and use skim milk for lean protein.

3 Freeze fruit (grapes, melon, bananas, etc.) for snacking on. Frozen foods take longer to eat and fruit is packed full of vitamins and nutrients. Pair these ready-to-go fruit packs with nuts, cheese or yogurt and your snack time just became easier and healthier.
