September is officially upon us! While we’re sad that summer is almost over, we can’t help but be a little bit happy about the things that come along with September’s return: back-to-school, Pumpkin Spice lattes, fall fashions and of course, fall food. So what better way to welcome back September than with a yummy dessert featuring one of the season’s most popular fruits—the apple.

These Mini Apple Pie Tarts from our sister site, 20 Minute Supper Club, are sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike. They’re just the right size for little hands to hold, and can be whipped up and on your table in under an hour.

What you’ll need:
• Large honey crisp or pink lady apples
• Frozen cranberries
• Light brown sugar
• All-purpose flour
• Ground cinnamon
• Salt
• Sour cream
• Egg
• Icing sugar
• Pie shells

You’ll find the full recipe and baking instructions for these Mini Apple Pie Tarts over at 20 Minute Supper Club. Don’t have an apple-shaped cookie cutter? No problem! Opt for star- or heart-shaped tarts instead—whatever you’ve got on hand. Whatever the shape, kids are guaranteed to eat it up!
