Even though bunnies are the go-to Easter creature craft, we couldn’t resist this adorable Sheep Egg from FamilyFun.

It’s simple to make, doesn’t take a whole lot of time and it also incorporates the tradition of dying the hard boiled eggs in different colours and shades. Beginning with white hard boiled eggs is essential to the colouring process (brown eggs don’t hold the colour as well) and laying out newspaper or an old sheet to cover your work surface will protect it from any spills, drips or splashes. Then all you need are some cotton balls (classic sheep’s clothing), crayons to draw on the eyes or spots if you’d like a spotty sheep, and pipe-cleaners for legs.

How cute would a whole herd of these little guys be scattered around your house for Easter festivities?

You can also try their Easter Egg Pig, Mouse and Cow to give your Easter party a farmyard feel.

From our family to yours, Happy Easter!
