According to yesterday’s comments from Canada’s leading man, PM Stephen Harper, ”Canada was the last advanced country to fall into this recession. We will make sure its effects here are the least severe, and we will come out of this faster than anyone and stronger than ever.”

Ah, yes. The Recession. That global financial meltdown that has been the cause of many a sleepless night since news of the “credit crisis” first began. But we have a confession to make: the whole thing has been a little bit difficult to wrap our heads around. And while it’s nice to think that we’ll be able to get out of this mess, we can’t help but wonder just exactly how we got into it in the first place.

Thanks to The Crisis of Credit Visualized—a great little video on the web—the whole situation is now much easier to understand (and to be infuriated by!) So settle in, grab a glass of wine, and prepare to get mad at some bankers.
