Quinoa
Readily available in most grocery stores, quinoa is a whole grain packed with protein, magnesium, phosphorus, folate, phytochemicals, zinc, vitamin E and selenium, helping to lower your risk of heart disease and diabetes while promoting a healthy digestive tract in your baby. As easy to prepare as rice, quinoa is great with salad and as a breakfast grain substitute. Try to include it in your diet on a weekly basis (at least a half cup per sitting).
