TASTIEST TOMATO: Campbell’s Tomato Soup

100 calories, 0 g fat, 720 mg sodium, 2 g fibre, 18 g sugar per 125-mL condensed serving

TASTE TEST This got a “super good” from the eight-year-old tester, but the five-year-old found it “hot and spicy.” (His mom thinks it is a bit acidic for him when made with water instead of milk.)

OUR DIETITIAN SAYS Her only qualm is with the high sugar content: “They add more sugar to tomato soups to give it a more pleasant taste.” But she adds that it’s a good source of vitamins A, B and C.

SERVE WITH A grilled cheese sandwich (with real cheddar) on healthy whole-wheat bread.

COST $0.99 per 284 mL can
