Double Duty

A vintage-style desk with drawers is an investment piece that is pretty enough to work as a front hall console if she outgrows it. Adding a seat, lamp and desk caddy makes the corner spot ideal to work at while an antique mirror allows it to eventually double as a vanity table, too. The entire wall behind was transformed into a floor-to-ceiling gingham-wrapped pinboard and trimmed with ribbon, providing lots of room to pin up collectibles, schedules and notes. The closet doors were transformed with a fresh coat of white paint, and hung.
