Priming and painting trim by myself wasn’t going to be an issue. I know my way around a paintbrush fairly well, and this was a great place to keep our budget in check. Leveling a seriously uneven floor, capping plumbing or wallpapering an intricate pattern across walls with no perfect right angles? Definitely out of my depth, and best left to the experts. The last thing we wanted was to spend even more money correcting a mistake as part of a misguided DIY attempt.
