Beet Tie-Dye

Turn stains into fashion with a can of sliced beets! Fill a spray bottle with the beet juice from one can of sliced beets (reserve the beet slices in an airtight container), and, after you cover your working surface with a plastic drop sheet, spray a white child’s apron thoroughly. Allow to dry. If desired, paint a pattern onto your apron with fabric paint. After your painting is dry, place beet slices all over the apron and allow to sit for up to half an hour. Check back regularly until you’ve got the amount of bleeding you’d like. Remove the beets and compost.
