What if parents disagree on the type of training to try?
It is very common for parents to not agree on how to implement sleep training and to have completely different ideas on how things should be done. I find it helpful to sit down and create a plan that meets both parents' needs before you begin. If one parent wants to leave the child alone to cry and the other doesn't want to hear the child cry, then choosing a technique where the child is supported might be a way of finding a method they both agree on.
