If you’re like us then you’ve likely seen the endless snapshots of beautiful, wavy locks that are peppered all over Pinterest and wondered “Who are these girls and where can I get their hair?” Wonder no more! We found this easy tutorial over at A Spotted Pony that uses the sock bun method to create perfect beach curls. The best part? You don’t need to use a heating iron or wand, reducing damage to your locks.

If you have short hair, the sock bun method probably won’t work for you but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy beach hair too. After you have washed your hair, blow dry using a small round brush. Dry your hair in sections away from your face. Once your hair is dry, wrap 1-inch sections of hair from mid-shafts to ends around a curling wand, leaving your roots straight. If you curl random strands of hair in different directions you will have a more textured look. Finish by gently tousling your hair with your hands to break up the curls.
