Seasonal Stuffing

With sausage, apples and cranberries, this stuffing sure doesn't taste like it's from a box (even though it is)

Ingredients
  • 3/4 lb sausages (Italian or garlic and herb)
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and diced, but not peeled
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 boxes (120 g each) stuffing mix
  • Directions
  • 1.

    Remove sausage from casing and cook in a large pot over medium heat, until meat is no longer pink. Break it up into small pieces as it cooks. Add apples during last few minutes of cooking.

  • 2.

    Add butter and water and bring to boil. Remove from heat and add cranberries and stuffing mix. Stir to combine then transfer to large greased baking pan or casserole container.

  • 3.

    Cover and bake at 350-deg. F for 60 minutes.
