*Miso Paste: A concentrated, savoury soybean paste commonly used in Japanese cuisine. Miso paste differs by aroma, flavour and colour depending on how and where it is processed. White miso is the lightest in flavour and is well-suited for soups, salad dressings and sauces.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white miso paste*
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger root
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 4 cups broccoli slaw (package)
  • 1 can albacore or yellowfin tuna
  • 2 tablespoons black or toasted white sesame seeds
  • Directions
  • 1.

    Whisk together rice vinegar and soy sauce in a large bowl. Add miso and whisk until combined. Stir in sugar and ginger.

    Combine sesame and vegetable oil. Whisking vinegar mixture, drizzle in oils until combined. Stir in cilantro.

  • 3.

    Add slaw and tuna to the dressing and gently toss to combine. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

  • Nutrients Per Serving
    177 calories, 11 g fat, 9 g protein, 12 g carbs, 3 g fibre. Excellent source of vitamins A and C, and folate.
