Peach Amaretto Jam

This recipe has no added pectin, so it may not be as firm as most store-bought jams. The deep, rusty orange colour will stand out on any breakfast table.

Ingredients
  • 3 Cups granulated sugar
  • 5 Cups ripe freestone peaches (about 6), peeled, pitted and chopped into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 Cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 Cups amaretto liqueur
  • Directions
  • 1.

    In a large stainless-steel pot, combine sugar, peaches and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent the fruit from floating to the surface.

    Add amaretto and bring back to a boil.

  • 3.

    Reduce heat to medium and simmer for approximately 15 minutes or until thickened to your liking.
