Gingered Cranberry Sauce

This divine sweet and spicy cranberry sauce pairs perfectly with the flavours of our Mushroom Stuffed Turkey Breast Roast

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 Cups finely chopped shallot
  • 1 tablespoon peeled and finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1 (12oz) bag fresh cranberries, rinsed
  • 1 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated orange zest
  • 1/2 Cups orange juice
Directions
  1. Heat oil in a skillet set over medium heat. Add shallot and ginger and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.

  2. Add remaining ingredients and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until the cranberries are soft and liquid has started to thicken, about 10 minutes.

  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve warm or chilled with turkey.
