Ingredients
1 can of tuna, drained1/2 Cups of diced apple (green give a tart flavour)1/2 Cups of mayonnaise2 chopped green onions1 teaspoon of dijon mustard1/2 teaspoons of good balsamic vinegar4 slices toasted bread (rye works well)4 tablespoons of toasted, well chopped walnuts or pecans1/2 Cups grated cheddar cheese
Directions
1.Mix the tuna, apple, mayonnaise, onion, mustard and balsamic in a bowl.
2.Spread about 1/4 of the tuna mixture on each slice of bread and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon toasted nuts.
3.Place the grated cheese on the tops of each sandwich. Broil for about 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
