A Sesame Street Treat: Ernie and Bert Fruit Snack

Photography by Jill, Kitchen Fun with My 3 Sons

It’s no secret that we are fans of food that looks like other food (remember the hamburger cookies we couldn’t get enough of?). But how about food that looks like some of our favourite children’s TV characters? No, we don’t mean a life-sized Sponge Bob sculpted out of cheese (though that would be kind of awesome) — we’re talking about this edible Ernie and Bert, created by Jill over at Kitchen Fun with My Three Sons.

This edible craft is so simple to put together, you probably already have all the necessary ingredients waiting in your kitchen.

What you’ll need:
• Clementines
• Bananas
• Raisins
• Mini-marshmallows
• Red Fruit Roll-Ups (we think you could substitute cherries for this part, if you’d prefer)

Jill shares the full instructions for the Ernie and Bert Fruit Snack over on her site. This is a good choice for very junior chefs, as they can easily help with assembly. The best part? Aside from being totally adorable, this snack is healthy, too!

Can’t get enough Sesame Street? These fabulous Cookie Monster cookies make a great dessert.
