Are classic toys getting makeovers that are too "sexy"? Let's compare the before and after of some of our favourite characters

Fitting in with today’s standards of what’s cool, many 1980s toys have gotten a makeover: they’re sexier, glossier and skinnier. The question is, are our kids being exposed to too much too early, or are we no longer in the know? Perhaps Grandpa Simpson put it best when he said, “I used to be with it, but then they changed what ‘it’ was. Now, what I’m with isn’t it and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary to me.” Here’s a look at a few of our childhood favourites, and their recent facelifts.
