As with a single stroller, a double stroller can be a parent’s biggest convenience, or it can be a parent’s biggest nightmare. We want to make sure you take into account who is riding, who is pushing and where you are going to be using the stroller. Important things to consider when choosing a double stroller:
Side-by-side vs. front-to-back. A front-to-back, or tandem, stroller might be easier if you plan to use the stroller inside busy places, like malls or supermarkets. If you plan to use the stroller primarily for walking outside, a side-by-side might be a better choice.
Lightweight vs. heavyweight. If you have to fold the stroller up and hoist it into your car on a fairly frequent basis, the stroller’s weight will make a difference in what you ultimately choose.
Infant seat or no infant seat. Many lighter weight strollers are not infant seat-compatible and many only have the option to use one, which can be problematic if you have twins.
