Whether your child has a summer birthday or you just want to keep the kids and their neighbourhood friends entertained for a few hours, an ice cream party is sure to be a hit. This sweet idea, which we found over at Baked Bree, serves the cold treat buffet-style, allowing kids to pile on their favourite garnishes to make their own customizable sundaes.
We love that an ice cream party is cheap and easy to throw, yet totally fun. Stock up on toppings at your nearest bulk food store and buy some tubs of ice cream in your family’s favourite flavours. There’s no need to make anything yourself, unless you choose to serve homemade sauces.
What you’ll need:
• Ice cream
• Toppings (e.g. chocolate, candy, fruit, nuts)
• Whipped cream
To see a detailed list of ingredients, plus tips on how to throw your own ice cream party, visit Baked Bree. Glass jars are a great way to display the toppings and sauces, and clear plastic cups work well for the ice cream.
Continue to keep the kids cool after their tummies are full by having some water balloons ready to go. For some less messy water fun, try out these sponge balls instead.
