But now we can skip the grocery store impulse buying and whip up a batch of yummy homemade cream eggs, thanks to this delicious (and easy!) recipe from our food editor, LeeAnne Wright. This kid-friendly recipe is a great way to get wee ones involved in the kitchen—from whipping up bowls of creamy filling to decorating their finished eggs, there are plenty of jobs for little hands to do.

• Butter
• Pure vanilla extract
• Food colouring
• Chocolate chips
• Coloured icing (optional)
