Since cake pops have been all the rage over in the baking world, we thought these golf-themed treats would be awesome for Father’s Day. Created by Jasmin Fine, owner of the baking business 1 Fine Cookie, these mini desserts are made with beer cake and a beer and bacon frosting, so they are sure to satisfy Dad’s taste buds.

Not only are these cake pops packed with flavour, but they are also appealing to look at. The golf ball mold gives the dessert a realistic appearance, and the addition of a candy golf tee and chocolate grass is the perfect final touch. They look almost—just almost—too good to eat!

What you’ll need:
• Cake flour
• Eggs
• Butter
• Salt
• Light brown sugar
• Baking powder
• Beer
• Baking soda
• Bacon
• Confectioner’s sugar
• White chocolate
• Green candy or chocolate dye
• Fondant mixed with blue coluoring (or blue Airheads candy)
• Mini cupcake liners
• Clean paint brush or toothpicks
• Lollipop sticks
• Golf ball lollipop mold

Step by step instructions for these Golf Ball Cake Pops can be found over at the 1 Fine Cookie site. Since you will need quite a bit of ingredients and materials, it’s a good idea to go shopping in advance. The end result will be well worth the effort. Dad will love that you combined sweet and savoury flavours, as well as some of his favourite things—golf, beer and bacon—into a single dessert. It’s a treat that is bound to be a hit!
