I can’t believe this is the last week of summer before the kiddies head back to school next week. This summer flew by way too quickly. I thought I would sneak in one more summer-themed snack for the kids this week. My kids are big fruit eaters, so it doesn’t usually take too much persuasion to get them to eat a plate full of fruit. The kids shared this sunny summer snack and ate up every single bite. It was really simple to make and only takes 3 ingredients!
2 yellow plums
a handful of raisins
1 green veggie stem – I used green onion because I had some in the fridge, but you can use cucumber, celery, etc.
a sharp kitchen knife
1. Using your knife, slice your yellow plums into small, petal-shaped pieces. Discard the pits.
2. Arrange your yellow plum petals in a circle on a plate, leaving an empty space in the middle.
3. Grab a handful of raisins and place them in the centre of your circle of plums.
4. Finally, grab a long green veggie and slice it into 1 long strip. I then made 2 slits halfway down for leaves. Place this on your plate underneath the flower.
This summer snack is really easy and a great way to bid farewell to an awesome summer. Enjoy!
