A Muppet-Inspired Sweet Snack: Kermit’s Green Apples

Photography by Disney Family

When it comes to getting kids to eat healthy snacks, dressing them up like something fun seems to do the trick every time. We bet that even the pickiest eater won’t be able to say no to this twist on classic apples and peanut butter by Miranda Becker, which we spotted over on the Disney Family site. Seriously—who could turn down Kermit the Frog?

What you’ll need:
• A sharp knife
• A green apple
• A red apple
• One large marshmallow
• Decorative marker for baking (black works best)

You’ll find the full instructions for assembling your own Kermit’s Green Apples over at the Disney Family site, along with the recipe for peanut butter dip. If peanut allergies are a concern, you can substitute another nut butter or even use Greek yogurt with fruit for an even healthier dip.
