The scene outside our office window right now has turned decidedly wintery, which is inspiring a craving for a warm, comforting cup of hot chocolate. And we couldn’t think of a better snack to accompany our cuppa than these yummy Hot Chocolate Marshmallow Mugs from Ottawa-based foodie Linda Nelson, which we spotted over on her site Lemon Drop.

Apart from being totally adorable, this sweet snack is also incredibly easy to make, which means it’s an ideal recipe for junior chefs. There’s no baking, chopping or flambéing required—just a few simple ingredients and you’re good to go.

What you’ll need:
• A small, clean paint brush
• Large marshmallows
• Chocolate-dipped digestive cookies
• Chocolate sprinkles
• Light corn syrup
• Mini candy canes
• Chocolate frosting

You’ll find the complete directions for these Hot Chocolate Marshmallow Mugs over at Lemon Drop. And if you’re looking for more cute holiday-themed treats, check out these Melting Snowman Cupcakes and Christmas Tree Brownies.
