We’ve already gone on at length about how much we love autumn and how much we love apples. And we’re not the only ones—this time of year brings out all kinds of people praising the virtues of fall and its bounty. We suspect, however, that this might just be a way to soothe ourselves as the days get shorter and cooler.
Call it delusion if you will—we still love apples and we love apple recipes. With that in mind, here are five of our favourite apple desserts!
Using a store-bought puff pastry for the crust is a great way to save time. Look for one made with butter for best flavour. Make your own creme fraiche at least a day early.
Perfect for little hands to hold, everyone in the family will be reaching for these gems. A food processor makes quick work of the filling but you can hand chop the ingredients if necessary.
An apple coffee-cake with a gooey layer of brown sugar and cinnamon in the centre. It tastes so moist and delicious, plus it’s loaded with fibre.
