Adorable DIY Soft Baby Book

As part of a Celebrate the Boy month-long special devised by a couple of mommy bloggers, Kristena of Thimbly Things made this sweet, no-words soft book for her little one. Besides using scrap fabrics, something that any crafty mommy has on hand, the base of the book is made from an old pair of jeans – resulting in a low-cost, big pay-off present for her special guy. Get the full tutorial here.

Tip: Kristena used Heat ‘n Bond (available at most craft stores, including Michaels) to make the decals lie flat, with no air pockets, and then stitched the edges for detail and extra durability. Less confident sewers can do it entirely no-sew.
