Hot or Not? Shiny Baby Legs

picture-5We’re all for fun fashion and funky style, but we’re not too sure what to think of these metallic-toned leggings from American Apparel. The shiny lamé leggings were originally all the rage for adults, but they’re now available for little fashionistas as well (at $35/pair). There’s no denying it—they’re definitely eye catching!

What do you think? Are they rock star chic, or a little over-the-top?

  1. Marisa Baratta says:

My first reaction: I don’t like it. It’s not horrendous, but I wouldn’t go for it! Maybe it’s just the colour? I can see a flashy purple making it.

  2. R. McKinney says:

It would probably work better with a longer top that was not tucked in. I can’t see myself buying something like that for my daughter unless it was for a dance recital or a Halloween costume.

  3. T. Marchiori says:

Not, not, not! Mostly because AA has a real creepy thing going on in their advertising that I just wouldn’t want my sweet little ones connected to.

  4. Lyndsay says:

I would SO get my lil diva a pair. I agree with the comment above though that a longer top that is not tucked in would work much better.

  5. Kate says:

Inspired by MJ perhaps? Kind of cute, nonetheless, I’d likely only allow a future child to wear these as part of a costume.

  6. P Gordon says:

My first question is always “Is this comfortable? Never met a shiny outfit that was. I agree with those who suggest a longer top with leggings. My 6 year old would love these because she likes gold and dances. $35 – no way.

  7. lisa says:

a little too “old” for kids I’d say…lets let them be “little girls” for as long as we can

  8. Mel says:

They look ridiculous, tight and uncomfortable. Little girls need clothes to play in not to strut in.
