Want to get inside the minds of some of your favorite Canadian TV personalities? Check out Passion Profiles, a unique online talk show featuring host Cheryl Hickey and brought to you by Häagen-Dazs.

Each of the four episodes offers a rare and fascinating glimpse of some of your favorite personalities as you’ve never seen them before. Coming up on August 25 learn about the passions, inspirations and dreams of renowned chef and TV personality Mark McEwan, as he sits down for an intimate chat with veteran celeb interviewer Cheryl Hickey. McEwan has been a chef on the Toronto scene since the late ‘70s, making his way quickly up the ladder to become the youngest executive chef in Canada, a position he was given at Sutton Place hotel in 1983. He is now at the head of a culinary empire that includes acclaimed restaurants Bymark, North 44 and One Restaurant at Hazelton Hotel as well as McEwan, a 23,000-square foot fine food emporium. He’s the host of the Food Network hit The Heat, and has also been a judge of The Superstar Chef Challenge.

Meet the Winner of the Family with S’More Contest!

We’ve tallied over 1,600 votes, and are pleased to announce the winner of our Family with S’More Contest! Pamela Biron of Ottawa made an impression with her sweet story about building a new family and sharing their love of S’mores.

“I had a loving fiancé and stepdaughter who shared my love of gooey marshmallows over warm, melted chocolate and sweet, crumbly graham crackers,” explained Pamela in her entry. “When the time came, and we were finally ready to unite our new family by marriage, we decided there was no better thing to do than to have a S’mores buffet at our wedding.”

Famous Canadians Share Their Passions Starting Today

Each of the four episodes will offer a rare and fascinating glimpse of some of your favorite personalities as you’ve never seen them before. First up, you’ll learn about the passions, inspirations and dreams of Food Network hosts Anna and Michael Olson, as they sit down for an intimate chat with veteran celeb interviewer Cheryl Hickey. After a brief stint in banking, Anna decided to follow her true passion to a career in cooking. After culinary school and working as a chef in New Orleans, Anna wound up in the Niagara region, where she met and married Michael Olson, also a notable chef. Anna hosts Fresh with Anna Olson and Sugar on the Food Network, is the author of a number of cookbooks. Together, the Olsons have collaborated on many delectable recipes, some of which can be found in their cookbook Anna and Michael Olson Cook at Home.

Here at CF.ca, we were also invited to submit a few questions for Cheryl to ask during her interview, so watch for their answers to our queries (we hope to learn some juicy cooking secrets).
