Bisquick - variety baking mix

Nutrients* per 40 g: 160 calories, 5 g fat (1.5 g saturated, 1.5 trans), 0 mg cholesterol, 420 mg sodium, 26 g carbs (1 g fibre, 2 g sugars), 2 g protein, 0 % vitamin A, 0% vitamin C, 4% calcium, 10% iron. $4.29

Family says: “These are good. They are fluffy too, but I like the ones from yesterday (PC),” said Joshua. “They’re yummy,” agreed Jared. “I can taste the difference—they’re pretty good. I would buy this brand again,” said Nicole, who also thought they looked the nicest.

Nutritionist says: The Bisquick is low in fibre and has vegetable oil shortening added to it so these pancakes are therefore a source of trans fats. You may want to choose a mix that calls for oil in the recipe.

Final Grade: B
