How we did it

Ten-year-old Taylor is an exuberant tween, living in Toronto. She loves reading, drawing and sleepovers, but her room was on the dull side. In fact, she prefered to hang in the basement because her room was so “yucky.” For The Style Dept. ultimate kid’s room makeover, Suzanne and her team injected Taylor’s personality into the space with lots of colours and created a room any kid would love by divvying it up into functional, task-specific zones.

Before: An uninspired bedroom is a sad catch-all for clunky, no-fun and outdated furniture.

After: : A fun and inviting space where kids can read, draw, do homework, have sleepovers and more.
