Don’t be afraid of black when it comes to kids’ rooms. Paired with white walls and hits of bright colour, it’s masculine, sophisticated and cool. Take a decorating cue from your child’s interests. Framed bugs, rock-climbing gear and musical instruments can all be part of the decor. Work with your child’s favourite toys and figurines, not against them, by treating them like mini sculptures.
