Beco Butterfly 2

Tested by Kristen Pridham and seven-month-old Charlie, Kelowna, B.C.

PRICE: $160

RIGHT FOR: Newborn to 45 lbs

POSITIONS: Front inward facing and back carry

NURSING: "Not as easy as a sling, but doable"

FEATURES: Includes removable infant insert and headrest for smaller babies. Eight patterns and colours are available.

PROS: “Charlie loves it. He stayed in the back carry position, no fuss, for two and a half hours. It’s simple to put on for both front and back carries, and very easy to adjust. It folds down super small for portability. It works over a winter coat.”

CONS: "After a few hours, my back was a little sore, though I suspect wearing an extra 20 lbs for more than three hours would do that any time. It is a little hard to remove him from the back carry.”
