Perfect Potty Training Chart

Potty training can be made much easier with a little encouragement. Sew up this chart to track your toddler's success and as your own personal reminder of how close you are to joining the ranks of those diaper-free kids.

Material

  • linen, cut 40×53 cm
  • fabric backing, cut 40×53 cm
  • white fabric pocket, cut 23×35 cm
  • wooden stars (available at craft stores)
  • 15 mm adhesive Velcro rounds (sold at hardware and office supply stores)
  • ribbon for hanging tabs, 5 cm

1 Sew linen and backing together, leaving an opening along the bottom to turn the right side out. Press and topstitch around edges. Sew in two ribbon tabs along the top to hang.

2 Fold pocket fabric in half and sew together leaving an opening to turn right side out. Press.

3 Sew pocket to linen side, 4 cm from the bottom, leaving the top open. Attach male side of velcro rounds to linen above pocket in rows of seven for each day of the week.

4 Attach female side of velcro rounds to backs of wooden stars.

5 Use a fabric marker to write days of the week and your toddler’s name on the chart.
