Water Limbo
Get in the island spirit with this game. Attach a nozzle attachment that produces a straight stream of water to your garden hose and use the stream as a limbo stick. If the grass gets too slippery, let kids bend forward instead or arching backwards. Don’t forget to play a little music to add to the fun.
Water Balloons
There’s no better way to use up excess energy and keep the heat at bay than water balloon games like a balloon toss and water balloon fights. Just fill, tie and let the fun begin.
Sponge Tag
A refreshing twist on the classic game involves one giant water-soaked sponge. Whoever’s “it’ uses the sponge to tag the next person — leaving that person with wet reminder that they’re up next.
Pinaqua Pinata
This candy-free version of the Mexican party game is a great way to soak your little ones on a hot day. Just fill a plastic grocery bag or small garbage bag with water, knot it at the top and hang it over a tree branch with a length of rope (held by a parent). Then have your kids try to knock it down. The first one to break it is rewarded with a cool surprise!
