Display your forest finds in a terrarium kingdom that can grow and change with the seasons. Children will love building with burrs (wrapping them around a twig is an easy way to make a lollipop tree).

The Materials

  • Soil
  • Sheet moss
  • Pinecones, burrs, acorns and more
  • A maidenhair fern
  • Rosehips

The How To

Cover a layer of soil with sheet moss and your favourite finds from the forest floor; dig plants into the bottom. Form the frolicking fauna and by curling pipe cleaner around your finger; add beads for noses and eyes. Tuck pointy pipe cleaner faces into horse chestnut husks to create hedgehogs.
