Short-Order Shortbread

A cookie exchange is a quick and easy party theme around the holidays: every guest bakes a batch and you all come together to swap and enjoy. Just don't forget to bake a few extra to leave for Santa this year

Three ingredients and five steps: this shortbread is as easy as it is delicious!

Short-order Shortbread

  • 2 cups (1 lb.) butter
  • 1 cup fruit sugar
  • 4 cups flour

1 Cream together butter and sugar.
2 Add three cups of flour; combine.
3 Place mixture on a warm board and knead in remaining cup of flour.

4 Roll out to just under a centimetre thick and cut into shapes. Decorate if desired.

5 Bake on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper at 275ºF for 30 minutes.
