Reading Karen Green’s column yesterday about childhood aspirations got us to thinking—while we were determined to be a doctor, or an artist or an archaeologist when we grew up, where did our parents think that the future would take us? Did they picture us growing up to become world leaders or Nobel Prize winners?

French photographer Malo has shared a quirky and adorable look at a child’s future through the eyes of a parent over on the site Monday Monday. The series is titled “Un jour mon enfant tu seras,” which translates to “One day you will be, my child.” It reminds us that when it comes to a child’s future career path, the possibilities really are endless! Perhaps your wee one will grow up to be a ballet dancer, or a surfer, or even the Pope.
