Pick of the Week: One Spooky Night—A Halloween Adventure

One Spooky Night by Kate Stone is not your typical kind of Halloween book. It’s more adorable than scary, which means it’s a great read for the entire family. Between cut-outs and shadowed vellum pages, you can follow the story’s little monster as he makes his way past owls, jack-o’-lanterns and even a black cat. He isn’t scared; he knows all of these creatures are friendly!

This book is so beautifully illustrated and full of simple, rhythmic text—it’s a great way to get everyone in the Halloween mood. And there’s even a cute surprise ending.
