Toronto
The Ashbridge’s Bay fireworks are spectacular. Great viewing can be had from Woodbine Beach, Beaches Park, or anywhere along the strip of Beach next to Ashbridge’s Bay. Or, if you’re one of the lucky few, watch them from a boat via Ashbridge’s Bay Yacht Club.
Ottawa
Catch views of the display launched from Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau from Jacques-Cartier Park, the Canadian Museum of Civilization (both in Gatineau), as well as Major’s Hill Park (in Ottawa) and along the Ottawa River. The show begins at 10 p.m.
Halifax
Fireworks begin in the Halifax harbour at 10 p.m. Take up position along the Halifax/Dartmouth waterfront for a great view. If you can, book a table at MacAskill‘s overlooking the harbour for a real treat—order the chocolate fondue!
We asked you on Twitter where your favourite spots are to view fireworks:
@yummymumy5 recommends Fort George in Niagara on the Lake, and @ObanInn agrees. @_TeamPokey loves the display at Parliament Hill in Ottawa (details above). And from the Windsor contingent, @ladybugbows recommends the Windsor Riverfront and says nothing compares to the view from there, and @Bellalulubaby also loves that spot, but is going for the Windsor Art Gallery specifically.
