Oscars Take Two: Kids Re-enact Best Picture Nominees [VIDEO]

By Alicia McAuley

Last night we tuned in to catch all the glitz and glamour of the 84th Annual Academy Awards. And they did not disappoint! There were some beautiful gowns, some very dapper leading men, and of course, there was Uggie.

Our list of highlights for the night includes a teary Best Supporting Actress nominee Melissa McCarthy and her mum on the red carpet, a very fancy Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, an amazing performance by Cirque du Soleil, and Christopher Plummer’s touching speech upon winning his first Oscar at 82 years old. (You can check out all the must-see moments here at Oscar.com.)

Nine-time host Billy Crystal certainly made up for the awkward performance of James Franco and Anne Hathaway at last year’s awards. But even Billy has nothing on these adorable kids and their re-enactment of the nine Best Picture of the Year nominees. We’ll be keeping an eye out for them at the 104th Academy Awards!

You can catch Part 2 of the re-enactment here.
