Kids love drawing with chalk, but have yours ever painted with it? Katelyn from Domestic Charm mixed up this vibrantly coloured liquid sidewalk chalk that is sure to intrigue your little one.

With just a few household materials, you can quickly put together this recipe that will keep the kids busy for more than a little while. Say “goodbye” to chalky hands and broken pieces, and “hello” to this fluid version of chalk that will give kids even more possibilities when it comes to their outdoor creations.

What you’ll need:

  • Water
  • Cornstarch
  • Food colouring
  • Salt (optional)

The full instructions for this cool chalk variation can be found over at the Domestic Charm site. We love the bright colours as well as the fact that it cleans up just like regular sidewalk chalk. It’s a great way to let your little one get in touch with his artsy side, and to take advantage of the warm weather while it lasts.

If your kids prefer to colour the streets the traditional way, you can find out how to make your own sidewalk chalk here.
