As Canadians, there’s nothing we enjoy more than when we find out we can shop online, just like our friends south of the border. We celebrated when Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic launched Canadian sites where we could browse, order and have packages delivered right to our Canadian postal codes. We rejoiced when J.Crew opened up its Canadian stores along with its online stores.

Interestingly though, there has been a lack of e-commerce for the Canadian retail stores we know and love. Canadian stores like Jacob—a Quebec-based women’s fashion retailer—have required shoppers to frequent the actual stores to make purchases. No online shopping carts to be had. And for busy working moms or  stay-at-home moms with children in tow, trips to the mall can be almost impossible tasks.

Until now.

We were thrilled to find out that as of this week, Jacob.ca now has online shopping!

“Seeing how the majority of our customers pre-shop online before making a purchase at the store, it was important for us to give them access to all of our collections on Jacob.ca,” explains Cristelle Basmaji, marketing and communications director and spokesperson for Jacob, in a press release. “We’re very excited to be offering our customers this new platform.”

We’re pretty excited, too.
