Every burgeoning artist goes through a “macaroni” stage, and most are over orecchiette and on to other mediums before they get out of kindergarten.
We think the pasta period is worth revisiting with this modern necklace design from By Wilma blogger Wilma Boekholt.
Using a handful of dried penne, a chain necklace, paint and a glue gun, grown-up artist (and DIY/ fashion/recipe blogger) Wilma created a sleek chevron statement in pasta.
This is a good craft project for an older kid who can handle a glue gun without hassle.
What you’ll need:
• Around 20 pieces of penne
• Paint
• A chain necklace
• Glue gun
• Cardboard
• Scissors

It’s a grown-up take on a classic kid craft. And really, what mom wouldn’t want to rock a penne statement necklace?
