INSTRUCTIONAL PHOTOS BELOW
Bodice:
- Draw a chalk line around the waist of the bodysuit.
- Remove straps from wings. Hand stitch wings to the back of the bodysuit securing at major points.
- Glue leaves on to the bodysuit starting at the waistline and layering the leaves upwards. (Note: Make sure to attach leaves using only one small dot of glue per leaf so that the bodysuit does not lose its stretchiness, and is able to be put on easily. Some of the elasticity may be lost, so ensure fit is roomy to start). Be careful not to position any leaf stems at armholes or neck that might poke or irritate the child.
Skirt:
- Tulle comes folded in 4 layers. Unfold once and cut the tulle in half lengthwise. You will now have 8 m of tulle.
- Open up each layer of tulle along the fold line and alternate the colors one on top of the other. Match edges evenly.
- Fold the stacked tulle in half lengthwise, along the original fold line.
- Cut a zigzag pattern along the bottom of the tulle.
- Measure elastic around the waist of the child. Sew/tie end together so it fits comfortably.
- Insert elastic waistband in between the layers of tulle, at the fold line. Secure with small hand stitches.
- Hot glue a few leaves randomly on skirt.
- Insert slip under tulle skirt and cut to length of tulle layers.
